All the big guns were wheeled out by the eight remaining teams in the Scratch League quarter finals played over the last week or so.
Hull fielded (below left to right) Jon Samuel, Jacon Hodgson and Ben Rozenbroek to account for Filey 3-0 at Kirk Ella.
Hessle turned over Brough 'B' 3-0 at home and are progressing nicely to be one match away from Ganton where they won the title in 2024.
Scarborough North Cliff were the third home side to win their quarter final. They knew they would need Tom Duck, Paul Harper (pictured below alongside Jonty Hall in 2024) and Alex Wiggins to be on their game against Hornsea's outstanding trio of Steve Uzzell, Matty Raybould and Jonny Fisher-Ulliot. They duly delivered on the cliff-top with an impressive 2-1 victory, just showing how home advantage can be crucial when we get to the business end of the competition.
Bucking the trend however were Brough 'B' who travelled to Ganstead Park who fielded East Riding duo Jack Clark and Steve Dale alongside Billy Hewitt. Jack beat Mark Beaney, but Jonny Barker and Mason Sleight hadn't read the script and took Brough into the semi finals with two excellent victories.
The semis will be played at neutral venues in the next month - draw to follow.
