Hull back in the hunt after Skidby shutout

The Junior League returned after a six week exam break and the results meant that both groups couldn't be closer heading into the last two rounds of fixtures.

In Group B, Hull visited leaders Skidby Lakes, knowing that they needed a win to keep their hopes of progression alive. The new look team of Bobby Beasley, Charles Hart and Callum Akester delivered with two dramatic last hole victories and a 2&1 win respectively. Beverley had been very much in the same boat, previously propping up the group alongside Hull. They also won 6-0 with sizeable victories for Seth Fairburn and Will Bentley and a last hole win for Sam Wilson to boost their 'goal difference' significantly.

Skidby, Beverley and Hull are all now tied on 13 points at the head of affairs.

Group A is nearly as tight. Cottingham Parks got back into the mix with a 6-0 win over Brough. Cooper Beck, Tom Anderson and Harvey Marshall were the victors to give Cott maximum points. They join Cave Castle in joint second place who got the better of Hainsworth Park in the night's closest fixture. Cave's Huxley Sawyer lost 2&1 to Harry Mayoh, before Jack Wall and Will Bannister turned the match around to win 4-2. Harry's win just keeps Hainsworth top by a point.
