Hainsworth and Hull hit the front - Junior League Gameweek 5

Very little has been decided in the 2025 ERUGC Junior League group phase, but 4-2 wins for Hainsworth Park and Hull have them leading their respective groups with one round of fixtures to go.

In Group A, Hainsworth overcame visitors Cottingham to leap to an almost unassailable 18 points, with a +15 goal difference giving themselves one foot in the semi final.

In the evening's other group match, Cave Castle and Brough shared the points, meaning that Cave are very much still in the hunt, while Brough cannot mathematically progress.

In Group B, Hull entertained Beverley in a must win game for both. Two dominant wins and a narrow defeat put Hull top of the group and brought a welcome boost to their goal difference. In the top match, Bobby Beasley (pictured above right at the 10th) accounted for in-form Will Bentley by a margin of 6&5. Harry Earl won the bottom match in even more dominant fashion, but Archie Russell kept Beverley's hopes alive with an impressive win over Tom Hinks.

Burstwick stayed in the hunt with a 4-2 win at Skidby Lakes. They lie second in the group level on points with Beverley, but with a significantly superior goal difference.

All to play for in next Monday's final gameweek!
